The 2023 MAMA Awards began on November 28 at Tokyo Dome in Japan with the announcement of Day 1 winners.
The MNET Asian Music Awards 2023 is being held at Tokyo Dome in Japan on November 28 and 29 KST. This is the inaugural year for the MAMA Awards at this venue. The award ceremony will span over two days, with additional performances and award presentations scheduled for today.
Singer Jeon So Mi and actor Park Bo Gum are the hosts for this year’s awarding ceremony. The theme for the 2023 MAMA is ‘One I Born,’ symbolizing birth into a world of endless possibilities and the journey to becoming a perfect ‘One’ through positive energy.
Known as Mnet Music Video Festival in 1999, The MAMA AWARDS has evolved into a music awards celebration dedicated to Asia, specifically recognizing K-POP achievements.
The awards have been held across Asia since 2010, and in 2020, it transformed into a metaverse awards ceremony. With K-POP’s rising global prominence, the MAMA AWARDS continues to tell the story of K-POP’s artistic vision and universal values.
