The television drama “Queen of Tears,” featuring Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Ji-Won, has achieved its highest viewership rating.

The beloved romance series peaked in viewership just before its final two episodes.

According to Nielsen Korea, a renowned viewership rating research firm, the 14th episode of tvN’s weekend drama “Queen of Tears,” which aired on the 21st, secured a remarkable 21.625% viewership rating among paid households nationwide, marking a new peak for the show.

Additionally, this rating of 21.625% for Episode 14 of “Queen of Tears” stands as one of the closest figures to the record set by “Crash Landing on You,” with just a slight variance of 0.019%P.

Remarkably, no production has surpassed this record in the four years since “Crash Landing on You” ended its run.

“Queen of Tears” has been consistently shattering records since its 12th episode, surpassing the viewership rating of “Goblin,” which previously held the highest viewership record for a tvN drama at 20.5%, aired in 2017.

With 16 episodes, “Queen of Tears” has two episodes remaining in its narrative. With the series already surpassing the 20% viewership mark, anticipation is high regarding its potential to surpass the record set by “Crash Landing on You” and etch its name in tvN’s history as the highest-rated drama.

Additionally, on Netflix, the Korean drama hit the #1 spot on the streaming platform’s Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart four weeks after it premiered, but it had already been on the chart in lower positions for all four weeks before.

“Queen of Tears” narrates the enthralling tale of Hong Hae-in (portrayed by Kim Ji-Won), the scion of the Queen’s Group conglomerate and the reigning queen of department stores, and Baek Hyun-woo (played by Kim Soo-Hyun), the heir of Yongduri and the sovereign of supermarkets.

The series airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM, captivating audiences with its captivating storyline and compelling performances.
