We want to deliver the agency’s stance regarding the information that was reported regarding our agency’s actress Song Ha Yoon.
The agency recognizes the seriousness of the matter, and in order to confirm the truth after receiving the initial report, we called the informant. Afterwards, we requested a meeting through a messaging app in order to confirm the exact truth, but the informant’s side expressed refusal. Therefore, we requested a call, but we did not receive a response.
After checking the truth with the actress regarding the claims made by the informant, we confirmed that all the relevant information is not true and that the informant is a complete stranger to her.
Currently, the informant’s unilateral claims are causing indiscriminate speculation and presumptions to spread. We earnestly ask that you refreain from speculative reports and unconfirmed truths regarding this.
Thank you.
JTBC’s “Crime Chief” aired allegations against an up-and-coming actress (referred to as “S”) who portrayed a villain in a recent drama, alleging her involvement in a school violence incident from two decades ago.
However, discussions and speculation persisted in certain online and mobile platforms, linking the individual implicated in the incident to Song Ha-yoon.
In light of these allegations, King Kong by Starship, issued an official statement addressing the situation stating, “We are aware of the seriousness of this matter and, after receiving the initial report, spoke with the informant to confirm the facts.
“Afterwards, we requested a meeting to confirm the exact facts through messenger, but the informant expressed his refusal, and we requested a phone call, but did not receive a response,” the agency added.
JTBC’s program “Incidence Team Leader” focused on allegations regarding Mr. S’s involvement in school violence.
The program “Case Chief” noted that actress S had made a strong impact with her portrayal of a possessed villain in a recently concluded popular drama.
Additionally, Mr. S had conveyed gratitude, expressing that the drama had fulfilled a dream and vowing to continue working hard in acting endeavors.
The actress agency took action to counter the ongoing circulation of speculative claims concerning Song Ha-yoon, acclaimed for her role as the antagonist in tvN’s ‘Marry My Husband’.
