BoA’s unexpected appearance in the popular tvN drama “Marry My Husband” has sparked widespread discussion.

Her portrayal of the new antagonist, Oh Yu Ra, left a significant impact on viewers, particularly in Episode 11 where her character escalated to become the ultimate villain, posing challenges to Kang Ji Won (portrayed by Park Min Young) and solidifying her role as the primary antagonist in the series.

After BoA’s appearance in the drama, online communities have been active with discussions about her performance and acting abilities.

Several viewers remarked on what they perceived as awkwardness in BoA’s acting, particularly highlighting her mouth area as appearing unnatural. Some netizens speculated about the possibility of BoA having a stiff philtrum due to excessive Botox injections.

Subsequently, on February 7, BoA conducted a live stream to directly confront and address the malicious comments and concerns regarding her appearance and acting in the drama.

She shared with fans by saying, “Over-lip? Oh, actually, I have this habit. So, it seems like it spread around my lips back then. Many people are concerned about my lips, but they’re fine, right? You don’t need to worry~ My lips are fine~.”

She proceeded to rub her lips during the live stream to demonstrate to her fans that her lips are natural.

Korean netizens commented,

“I guess she does look at the comments,”

“Her lips are cute. Buzz off malicious commenters,”

“I don’t think it’s a problem if people are criticizing her acting skills because she can improve on that but people saying things about her face is just wrong,”

“I’m not sure about her face but I think it’s better BoA stays away from acting lol,”

“People need to stop judging others by their looks,” and “I thought her acting was good.”
