EXO’s Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen (CBX) announced the official launch of their solo label, ‘I&B 100,’ promising a diverse range of endeavors and engagements.

Following the establishment of Baekhyun’s new company, reports emerged indicating a mutual collaboration between I&B 100 and SM Entertainment. I&B 100 will manage Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen’s solo projects as well as their unit activities as EXO-CBX, while SM Entertainment will oversee their collective activities as the group EXO.

“The CBX members, who are entering their 13th year of activities this year, have repeatedly pondered and asked various questions about the future. Several initiatives have been undertaken regarding the rapidly changing global K-pop environment and plans for life as artists after their 20s. The start of this label is based on the long-standing deliberation and aspirations of the members,” I&B 100 said.

“We plan to further highlight the members’ musical individualities and colors. Going forward, we will serve as the starting point for the members to undertake creative challenges and experiments, and to communicate with fans in various ways. This includes their video production and music production, which have been their long-time dreams,” they added.

In a separate announcement, SM reassured fans that EXO, comprising Suho, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai, and Sehun, would remain intact as an eight-member group despite certain members having contracts with other companies.

“All eight members of EXO will continue activities together as EXO,” SM said in a statement.

“In addition to showcasing new music and performances, they plan on greeting fans without change through EXO’s fan meeting scheduled for April as well as through various activities,” they added.

D.O. is the only member who has officially departed from SM Entertainment, yet the agency mentioned that he has agreed to continue participating in EXO’s activities.
