SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — FIFTY FIFTY released a new version of their hit song “Cupid” featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
An unexpected collaboration between FIFTY FIFTY and Sabrina Carpenter that no one asked, but something we definitely needed.
On August 16, FIFTY FIFTY’s official social media pages posted the news about the group releasing a new version of their hit song “Cupid,” with a little twist featuring Sabrina Carpenter. It was also announced on their post that the song would be released on August 18.
Fans were confused with the new release since FIFTY FIFTY is in between all the turmoil and lawsuits with their own agency due to ATTRAKT allegedly violating contract terms, and the FIFTY FIFTY members filing to suspend their exclusive contracts.
After the announcement, snips of Carpenter’s new verses on the song started spreading in social media. Carpenter seems to blend well in the song singing the way she feels affection towards someone.
“Cupid is the group’s debut single which made FIFTY FIFTY enter the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the US.
Cupid is not the only song FIFTY FIFTY is known for. Recently they have been part of the “Barbie” film soundtrack titled “Barbie Dreams” featuring Kaliii. They also have other hits such as “Tell Me” and “Lovin Me.”
Sabrina known for her songs like “Nonsense” and “Feather” recently was in the Philippines for her “emails I cant send” tour.
With “Cupid” FIFTY FIFTY members containing Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena keeps on breaking into the American Market and topping the charts with their songs, and making features with other American artists has made their influence on the West more visible. – KLife/Zain
