On December 5, following a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, the renowned singer and actress IU announced her highly anticipated return with a new album, featuring V of BTS.

EDAM Entertainment, IU’s agency confirmed that IU recently completed the filming for the music video which includes her collaboration with V. The decision to film the music video in advance was made in light of V’s military service starting on December 11 KST. Additionally, it’s worth noting that IU released her previous album, “Pieces,” in December 2021.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting this collaboration between IU and V, particularly considering her previous successful projects with SUGA, another BTS member, on tracks like “Eight” and “People Part 2”.

One user on Reddit commented, “BTS and their side missions before the military will never fail to amaze me.”

Another Reddit user wrote, “V is always snatching contacts left and right in the acting world. Make the move already, boy, give us a drama or something”

Others said, “The bts iu cinematic universe is expanding omg. Tae the type of guy to have big name industry entertainers without the fans knowing”

“Omg I won!! I’ve been manifesting a collab since he went to Palette. I know it says “MV feature”, but one can still dream about a musical collab”

“New IU music is already something to look forward to, this is the cherry on top. 🤩 It’s as if EDAM and BigHit agreed to share this news now to soften the blow about the impending enlistment. 🥺”

“Well, pack it up guys, they aren’t leaving us hungry for content, we’ll be fed. 💅

Joke aside, it’s so cool that Taehyung will participate in her upcoming projects, another thing to look for.”

Though the details of the music video have not been revealed yet, fans are eager to see IU and MV’s collaboration. This anticipation stems from the duo’s recent revelation of their budding friendship and casual conversations.
