An Yu Jin from IVE was chosen to sing the main soundtrack for Disney’s 100th-anniversary film, “Wish.”
“Wish” is a tale about a 17-year-old girl named Asha who lives in the Kingdom of Rosas. When she finds herself in a time of need, she makes a plea to the stars. This leads her to encounter a living, magical star that has fallen from the sky. However, this event draws the attention of Magnifico, the evil ruler of Rosas.
An Yu Jin, the lead vocalist and dancer from IVE will perform the Korean version of the song “The Wish”. This song is originally sung by Asha in the storyline when she makes a wish upon a star, having discovered King Magnifico’s deception in granting the wishes of the people of Rosas.
Since the release of the Korean version of “The Wish”, fans were enchanted by An Yu Jin’s soulful rendition and her ability to convey the raw emotion of Asha’s character. The song has been widely praised for its melodic beauty and An Yu Jin’s powerful vocal performance.
One Redditor commented, “IVE really are princesses. Now they have a Disney Princess among them!”
