The girl duo, consisting of Hyolyn and Bora, is known for their K-pop hits “Ma Boy” and many others. Sistar’s last release was the 2013 single “Gone Not Around Any Longer.” After eleven years in hiatus, K-pop girl group SISTAR19 officially confirms their comeback in January of next year.
SISTAR19 is a subunit of the girl group SISTAR, a four-member group. SISTAR19 originally debuted in 2010. The concept of their unit was to blur the lines between girlhood and womanhood. The duo significantly impacted the Korean pop industry at that time.
After 11 years, Hyolyn and Bora are returning, more powerful than ever. The two ladies are known for combining Hyolyn’s energetic vocals with Bora’s husky vocals and rapping skills. SISTAR19 fans are ecstatic about their return at the beginning of next year.
It has been a while since SISTAR19 has been in the Korean pop scene. However, their return is expected to be able to adapt to today’s music trends. The duo’s return is gaining rapid interest inside and outside the music industry.
The Korean girl duo is a collaboration between Starship Entertainment, creator of SISTAR, and Cleb Entertainment, who shared with SPOTV News, “Cleb Entertainment will carry out SISTAR19’s production and management, and Starship will provide full support.”
Moreover, the duo’s management said, “The two plan to reorganize all areas from singing to choreography for the new SISTAR19 and upgrade the team color with new trends.”
There is no doubt that fans are excited about the duo’s comeback, with fans expressing their enthusiasm on social media.
With the groups confirmation of the comeback, some fans also wonder if there will be a full SISTAR reunion with all four group members.
