SEVENTEEN is the first K-pop group to host a session at the UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris. Their entertainment company, PLEDIS, announced on October 27 that they would have this unique opportunity, marking them as the first K-pop artist in history to do so.

According to the agency, SEVENTEEN is scheduled to appear at the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France on November 14. They will represent the global youth at the said event.

SEVENTEEN, a 13-member KPop boy group, has been achieving great success since their debut in 2015. Recently, they won the Grand Prize (DAESANG) and Artist of the Year (BONSANG) at The Fact Music Awards on October 10, 2023.

During their session, they will give a speech about the importance of solidarity and education among the youth in the world today.

From November 7-22, the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum will take place as part of the UNESCO General Conference at UNESCO Headquarters.

Furthermore, SEVENTEEN and their entertainment agency, Pledis Entertainment, have established a strategic alliance with UNESCO and the Korean National Commission for UNESCO, initiating the education movement known as ‘#Going Together’.

This milestone for SEVENTEEN signifies a significant step for K-pop and global youth culture. It demonstrates the growing influence of K-pop on the global stage and its power to engage and mobilize the youth.

This development may inspire more K-pop artists to leverage their influence for meaningful causes. SEVENTEEN’s participation in the UNESCO Youth Forum highlights the potential of music and pop culture in creating impactful social changes.

As the first K-pop group to host a session at such a prestigious international forum, they are setting a precedent for other artists to follow. Their commitment to promoting education and solidarity among the youth is a testament to their influence beyond music. This event underscores the power of K-pop in bridging cultural gaps and fostering global youth engagement, thus solidifying its role in shaping the future of global youth culture.
