Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, addresses rumors of the South Korean actor in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron following a post on Kim Sae-ron’s social media account.
The statement followed the posting of a photo featuring the two individuals on Kim Sae Ron’s Instagram story.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello. This is GOLDMEDALIST.
We are making an official statement regarding Kim Soo Hyun’s photo that was spread today.
We are informing you that Kim Soo Hyun’s dating rumors are not currently true. The photo that has been spread online appears to have been taken in the past, when [Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron] were under the same agency, and we are completely unable to understand the motivation behind Kim Sae Ron’s action [of posting the photo].
Due to the photo in question, unnecessary misunderstandings and groundless speculation about our actor are currently running rampant, and we will be taking strong legal action through our legal representative in response to malicious slander and insulting posts that defame our actor’s character or honor.
We ask that you refrain from writing rumors or groundless speculation regarding this matter.

Although the photo was promptly removed, its circulation led to speculations among those who viewed it, suggesting a romantic involvement between the two stars.
“We are informing you that Kim Soo-hyun’s dating rumors are untrue. The photo that has been spread online appears to have been taken in the past, when [Kim Soo-Hyun and Kim Sae-ron] were under the same agency, and we are completely unable to understand the motivation behind Kim Sae-ron’s action [of posting the photo],” the agency said.
Additionally, Gold Medalist said they will take strong legal action in response to malicious slander and insulting posts that defame the actor’s character or honor.
The agency asserted its intent to take serious action, via legal representation, against any defamatory or offensive posts that harm the actor’s character and reputation.
Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron is on hiatus after she was found by the court guilty of drunk driving.
The verdict, which cost the actress 20 million won (or PHP838,740.14 based on the current exchange rate) in fine, was handed down in April last year.
She was part of the Gold Medalist from 2020 to 2022 before her contract expired following a drink-driving incident in 2022.
Meanwhile, Kim Soo-hyun is taking on the lead role in the ongoing tvN drama “Queen Of Tears.”
Many viewers also recognize him for his roles in “It’s Okay Not to Be Okay” (2020) and “My Love From The Star” (2013).
