Conflicts between Lee Kang In and Son Heung Min resulted to violence that led to Kang In facing serious allegations.

According to The Sun, there was an event that happened on February 5th in the evening, which triggered the tension between two important participants.

The South Korean soccer squad had dinner on February 5 in preparation for their quarterfinal matchup with Jordan.

The purpose of the supper was to reinforce the team’s unity and declare that, on the eve of the game, they were one unit.

On that particular day, though, a few of the team’s younger members Lee Kang In, Seol Young Woo, and Jung Woo Young left the dinner early in order to play table tennis.

Captain Son Heung Min attempted to stop the group from departing because he thought what they were doing was wrong. But they paid no attention.

Reports state that after Son Heung Min lost his temper and allegedly grabbed Lee Kang In’s collar, Lee Kang In allegedly punched Son Heung Min in retaliation.

Son Heung Min is reported to have dislocated his finger during the altercation. In the Asian Cup semi-finals, South Korea, the overwhelming favorite, unexpectedly fell to Jordan 2-0.

A representative of the football organization stated, “We received reports of players having a dispute during the tournament,” he said.

“There was friction between Son Heung Min and some young players as they tried to go play table tennis, and Son Heung Min injured his finger in the process,” he added.

According to reports, the team’s top players asked coach Jürgen Klinsmann to keep Lee Kang In out of the game against Jordan. Coach Klinsmann did not, however, leave out Lee Kang In.

There are rumors that the rivalry between Son Heung Min and Lee Kang In is not the only one going on within the team. According to witness accounts, the South Korean team was split up according to age, and the players could be seen working out in different groups.
