South Korean Actress Lee Naeun has denied dating allegations with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Lee Kang In.
On January 2, some sources published images of the two allegedly on outings in November, along with sightings of Lee Kang In at Lee Naeun’s residence.
Addressing the speculations, Namoo Actors, Naeun’s agency, stated on Tuesday that “Lee Naeun and Lee Kang In are simply acquaintances and are not romantically involved.”
Certain sources claim to have received information regarding Lee Na-eun and Lee Kang In. Allegedly, the rendezvous between them occurred inside her car and at her residence.
These sources suggest that on November 14 and 15 of the previous year, just before a soccer match, Lee Na-eun visited the underground parking area of the Yeouido Hotel, the lodging for the soccer team, engaging in a car date with Lee Kang In.
After the game, they spent time in the vicinity of Lee Na-eun’s apartment complex in Gyeonggi Province. On November 14, post-training, Lee Kang In returned to a Yeouido hotel in Seoul where he was lodging with fellow national teammates.
After a period of rest, around 8 p.m., he cautiously surveyed the area in the hotel’s basement parking lot before entering Lee Na-eun’s car.
According to The Fact’s report, the car rendezvous extended into the following day. Lee Na-eun awaited Lee Kang In in a specific section of the hotel parking lot. Subsequently, Lee Kang In, wearing a hat and holding a cellphone, casually entered the car while being observant of his surroundings.
However, Naeun personally addressed the situation, stating that she and Kang-in were not in a romantic relationship. She did acknowledge receiving tickets from him for one of his national team games. On the other hand, the player’s management chose not to provide any comments on the matter.
Naeun, formerly associated with the girl group APRIL, gained prominence for her roles in the TV dramas “A-Teen,” “A-Teen 2,” and “Extraordinary You.”
Her upcoming project is the SBS and Disney+ series “Flex X Cop,” starring Ahn Bo-hyun and Park Ji-hyun, scheduled for release in January. This marks her return to the screen after an absence of approximately three years.
Meanwhile, Lee Kang In and Paris Saint-Germain currently lead Ligue 1, largely attributed to the outstanding performance of star player Kylian Mbappe. However, in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup, Lee Kang-in will join South Korea alongside other notable European stars such as Son Heung-min, Kim Min-jae, and Hwang Hee-chan.
