“Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” confirmed the cast consisting of Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, Park Ho San, Choi Young Joon, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
With the official announcement of the cast, the movie unveiled behind-the-scenes images of the actors engaged in an enthusiastic script reading, heightening excitement for their performances and on-screen chemistry.
“Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” is adapted from a web novel with the same title, narrating the tale of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), whose reality transforms into the world of a web novel featuring Yoo Joong Hyuk (Lee Min Ho) as the protagonist. Besides the web novel, the continuing webtoon adaptation has garnered significant affection from its fan base.
Director Kim Byung Woo, known for his work on “The Terror Live” and “Take Point,” is set to lead the upcoming film, collaborating with REALIES Pictures, the production company responsible for the “Along with the Gods” series. This film marks the first Korean investment for the global entertainment group Smilegate.
In “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint,” Lee Min Ho will portray Yoo Joong Hyuk, the central character from a fictional web novel that Kim Dok Ja has read. Yoo Joong Hyuk experiences multiple opportunities to reset his life after death, showcasing remarkable looks and formidable combat skills. He is a character who navigates and survives a post-apocalyptic world.
Ahn Hyo Seop is set to make his big-screen debut in the role of Kim Dok Ja, the only individual aware of the conclusion of the web novel “Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World.” Initially an ordinary office worker, Kim Dok Ja becomes engrossed in Yoo Joong Hyuk’s narrative, emerging as the sole person to complete reading the web novel.
As the fictional story becomes reality, Kim Dok Ja forms bonds with companions who embark on the journey alongside him. Chae Soo Bin will portray Yoo Sang Ah, Kim Dok Ja’s colleague, who joins him in navigating the post-apocalyptic world. She proves to be a vital support to Kim Dok Ja, adapting swiftly to a reality where each day poses a survival challenge.
Shin Seung Ho and Nana take on roles as characters from the web novel that Kim Dok Ja reads, eventually crossing over into reality. Shin Seung Ho embodies the former military soldier Lee Hyun Sung, showcasing robust defensive abilities, while Nana portrays Jung Hee Won, emerging as a justice-oriented goddess with remarkable strength.
Park Ho San is set to portray Gong Pil Doo, a wealthy individual who wields influence over people’s lives. Choi Young Joon will assume the character of Han Myung Oh, Kim Dok Ja’s corporate superior, who unexpectedly becomes entangled in mission scenarios as he approaches Yoo Sang Ah. Additionally, Jisoo will take on the role of Lee Ji Hye, a character who, with her exceptional strength, confronts numerous challenges alongside Yoo Joong Hyuk.
