SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — Actor Shim Hyung Tak and his wife have shared some gorgeous wedding photos of their second wedding ceremony on August 20.
Shim Hyung Tak and his Japanese wife Hirai Saya reportedly had their second wedding ceremony on August 20 after having their first wedding ceremony in Japan, according to Shim Hyung Tak’s agency Alomalo Humain Entertainment.
Through the agency, Shim Hyung Tak showed some wedding photos and commented, “I am beyond happy to have wise and lovely Saya as my wife. After my last tears I shed at the wedding in Korea, I will stop crying and become a strong husband for Saya and our family. I promise to protect my wife for the rest of my life.”
Jun Hyun-moo presided over the couple’s first wedding ceremony; comedian Moon Se-yoon presided over the second. The pair was serenaded with a lovely wedding song by singers Lee Seung Chul and Shin Sung, who appeared with Shim Hyung Tak on Channel A’s Groom’s Class.
He unexpectedly announced to his supporters on April 3, 2023, that he had wed Hirai Saya, a regular person. According to reports, Hirai Saya, who is 18 years younger than the Korean actor, first met him four years ago in Japan while they were both working on a TV show.
After she made a debut on episode 12 of the TV CHOSUN variety show “Lovers of Joseon,” she made news. Fans had noted how strikingly similar she looked to Jungkook, the newest member of BTS. Following ARMY’s observation that Saya resembled the well-known BTS singer in a female doppelganger fashion, pictures of the pair quickly went viral on social media.
Shim Hyung Tak made his acting debut in 2001 after making his modeling debut in 1997. Since then, he has acted in a number of dramas, including “God of Study,” “Brain,” “Seo Young, My Daughter,” and “Apgujeong Midnight Sun.” In April 2023, the actor announced his marriage to his non-celebrity wife, whom he met while filming a television show in Japan four years prior. – KLife/Zain
