South Korean singer-actor Jung Ji-hoon, better known as Rain, introduces the first boy group under his entertainment company on Thursday, December 10.
Previously, the 38-year-old singer-songwriter uploaded Wednesday a mysterious post, promising he would deliver “good news” at noon the next day.
True to his words, Rain posted in his Instagram a picture of the seven-member group named Ciipher, his first-ever boy group.
He wrote: “Excited to introduce Rain Company’s first boy band CIIPHER on today’s episode of SeasonBSeason! Don’t miss out!!”
According to Soompi, “Ciiper is aiming to debut early next year. More information about the members will be released later on the official website. They will first appear on Rain’s YouTube channel SeasonBSeason today.”
Moreover, the septet has been preparing to debut for about three years, and a majority of the members have been on an audition program and/or were trainees at large agencies.
Some of the members who appeared on survival programs are Park Sungwon from “Under Nineteen,” Kil Dohwan from “YG Treasure Box,” Moon Hyun Bin from “Produce 101,” and “Choi Seokwon from “No Mercy.”
