The world of K-dramas is about to witness the enchanting love story of Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong as their highly-anticipated series, “Doona!” gears up for its premiere on Netflix.
This Korean drama, which is based on the widely-loved webtoon “The Girl Downstairs,” is set to make its exclusive debut on the said platform on October 20.
The storyline of “Doona!” revolves around two individuals from different walks of life who find themselves sharing a living space. Yang Se Jong assumes the role of Won Jun, an ordinary university student known for his warm-hearted nature. His life takes a sudden turn when he crosses paths with Doona, portrayed by Suzy. Doona, a retired K-pop idol and the former main vocalist of a renowned idol group announces her retirement and moves into a shared house near a university.
Netflix has been building anticipation for the series with the recent release of new posters and an intriguing teaser. The posters provide a glimpse into the complex dynamics between Doona and Won Jun. Doona’s poster carries the message, “But don’t fall for me either,” while Won Jun’s poster declares, “I don’t want to feel butterflies over something meaningless.” The combined poster leaves viewers pondering the question, “What will you do if I actually end up falling for you?”
