The Debut: Dream Academy, a survival program by The Hybe Labels x Geffen Records, has officially selected the top six winners! These winners will debut as KATSEYE, a Korea-US crossover girl group.
Throughout the survival show, 20 contestants competed to earn the six spots for the group’s final lineup.
HYBE teased The Debut: Dream Academy on August 25, 2023. This audition show, held in the United States, has attracted 120,000 applicants worldwide over the past two years. Its aim is to globalize the K-pop production system. On August 26, additional teaser photos and a video were released, announcing the creation of a global girl group through the show. From the 120,000 applicants, 20 contestants were selected.
On November 17, KST, the survival program aired its final episode. During this episode, the top 10 finalists were announced. These individuals are now competing for a spot in the final six of the new global girl group.
Team A with members Maki, Emily, Yoonchae, Megan and Daniela performed ‘Girls Don’t Like’ while Team B with members Sophia, Samara, Lara, Manon and Ezrela took the stage with ‘Dirty Water’. Both teams captivated the judges with their passion, confidence and charisma on stage.
In the final ranking, Sophia from the Philippines received the most fan votes, scoring 50 points. However, Megan from the USA received the highest score from the judges. Overall, Sophia accrued the greatest number of points, totalling 88.33.

- Sophia (20, Philippines)
- Daniela (19, USA)
- Megan (17, USA)
- Lara (18, USA)
- Yoonchae (15, Korea)
